Kutchan’s Ogawara Shu Memorial Art Museum is holding a special exhibition focused on two local painters.
“Osamu Ogawara and Hidemaro Hoida: Two Artist Exhibition” is focused on the late Ogawara san, who was born in Kutchan and for whom the museum is named, and his friend Hidemaro san, who lives in Furubira.
The theme of the exhibit is “life’ and it displays six of Ogawara san’s paintings of pilgrims in Tibet and six of Hoida san’s works showing fishermen working in challenging conditions.
It will run till 2 July and admission is JPY500yen. The museum is closed on Tuesdays.
