HOKKAIDO NEWS
Today is the last chance to see a display of Edo Era woodblock prints being held in Otaru.
The exhibition, “Famous Selected Woodblock Prints by Two Artists” features 30 reprinted works by masters Katsushika Hokusai and Utagawa Hiroshige, including out of their respective landscape series “Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji” and “Fifty-three Stages of the Tokaido”.
The Otaru location is the “Salon de Miyai”, the gallery of the MIYAI Art & Frame shop.
The reprinted woodblock prints were created by the Tokyo Traditional Woodblock Print Craft Cooperative Association in 1994.
The exhibit is free and open to the public from 10am to 6pm.
