A 150 room condominium is planned for Kamifurano Town in the Furano area.
It will be located on the grounds of the tourist attraction, “Flower Land Kamifurano” which, as the name suggests, is made up of fields that bloom with various flowers in the spring and summer.
The developer is the Otaru-based Nihon Shintatsu Co. which, since its founding in 2016, has focused on the Otaru, Niseko and, most recently, Furano areas.
The coming condominium is a joint venture with a Sinaporean investor and its expected market is Asian high-net-worth individuals.
The Furano area is known for its strong winter and summer tourism, the former focused on skiing, the latter on its fields of lavender and flowers and farm-to-table produce.
The new development in Kamifurano Town will be about 30 minutes from Asahikawa Airport.
