Chalet Ivy held the groundbreaking for its third Hokkaido hotel and onsen (hot springs bath), this time in Hanazono, on April 26th.
The Hanazono location, Chalet Ivy Weiss, follows on the success of Niseko`s Chalet Ivy Hirafu and Chalet Ivy Jozankei, located in a resort area adjacent to Sapporo.
Ivy Chan, Sales & Marketing Manager for Chalet Ivy, cited Niseko`s ongoing evolution into an all season destination as one reason for a second Niseko location.
Like the other two locations, Chan said that Chalet Ivy Weiss will provide guests with “year-round” restaurant and activity bookings.
Chan said that Chalet Ivy Hirafu, which opened in 2012, is most attractive to “sporty guests who love skiing” while Chalet Ivy Jozankei is more focused on “onsen and relaxing”.
”Chalet Ivy Weiss will be a year-round hotel which combines elements of Hirafu & Jozankei.

The seventh floor will have a gym and spa with an infinity onsen pool, while the top floor will be a lounge with panoramic views.
