New Waterworks Center Is Coming to Hirafu

A new water distribution reservoir will soon begin construction in Hirafu and a briefing session for the local community is being held on 26 March.

The water distribution reservoir will be built on the Hirafu No. 2 parking lot beginning in late May of this year, with completion projected for November of 2026.

The building will have a 362.29sqm footprint and will serve as a water purification plant and a distribution reservoir to accommodate the growing population of Hirafu.

Kutchan Town’s Waterworks Division received approval for the new Hirafu facility in fiscal 2021.

The briefing session on 26 March will begin at 1:30pm in the Kutchan Town Office second floor conference room. Pre-registration is not required.
