Makkari Village Has New Residential Lots For Sale This October

Niseko’s neighbour Makkari Village has completed development work on residential lots that will go on sale in October.

 

There will be a total of 13 plots for single-family homes on about 1ha of village land, and the residential subdivisions will be transferred to the private Kutchan Town Company, Seo Construction Industry, without charge.

Seo Construction Industry was the contractor who completed development of the plots last August and will subsequently construct the homes.

The units range from 560sqm (169.4 tsubo ) to 685sqm (207.2 tsubo) and will cost an expected JPY6 million to over JPY8 million.

While this kind of free transfer of public land for residential use is rare in Hokkaido, it is part of an initiative to spur settlement and private sector growth in Makkari Village.
