Kutchan Town started an explanatory meeting on the 29th for local residents concerning the new development guidelines, aiming to go into effect on 1 October.
On the first day of the meeting, the town explained the content of the original bill, such as limiting the total floor area of lodging facilities to 10,000 sqm (3,025 tsubo) and arranging and structuring buildings to blend in with the forest.
About 90 people participated, and there were questions and opinions regarding the possible shortage of parking lots for the resorts and height restrictions on buildings.
There will be a total of four meeting until 1 June.
