Japan Airlines (JAL) revealed earlier this month the interiors of its new Airbus A350-1000 aircrafts.

The eight A350-1000s, a wide-body aircraft with a capacity of 350 to 410 passengers and 40% (according to the Europe-based manufacturer Airbus) more area for premium-category seating, are expected to begin servicing JAL international routes at the end of this year.

The first class area features six suites, 1.3 times larger than the existing JAL International first class on Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts, each with a sliding door, small closet, sofa seats that expand into either single or double-sized beds and 43-inch 4k screens, among other amenities.

The business class seats are also private spaces, dubbed by JAL as “high-privacy seats”, each featuring a 24-inch 4K screen.

Perhaps the most unique feature of both first and business classes are that headphones are no longer required for in-flight entertainment, as the seats have speakers built into the headrests, an industry first.

The premium economy and economy seats have also been made more spacious and also featured 4k monitors, at 16-inch and 13-inch, respectively.
