The largest airline in Australia is doubling down on Japan this year.
Qantas Airways, Australia’s flagship carrier, will up the number of flights to Japan to 28 per week in late November, up from 14 flights per week now.
This will mean two flights a day between Tokyo and Sydney, Australia’s largest city and daily flights between Tokyo and Melbourne and Brisbane, up from the current three to four times a week.
The frequency of flights after November will exceed the immediate years before COVID, signalling confidence in the future of Australia/Japan travel.
