Yukihyo’s name translates as “snow leopard” and indeed, staying at this beautifully designed chalet affords guests with front row seats to Niseko’s forests and wildlife. This is the perfect place for getting away from it all, while still remaining in the lap of slope side luxury.
Yukihyo offers ample space for larger groups, with a generous open-plan living and dining room offering ample room for socialising. Full wall windows lining the ground-floor living areas helps to amplify the space even further. There are five bedrooms in total, including two rooms fitted with bunk beds, offering ideal accommodation for kids or perhaps members of household staff travelling with you.
True to the property’s high-end stature, Yukihyo comes with all the mod cons – and then some. The sleek open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary appliances and the living room centres around a beautifully designed fireplace. The generous onsen style bath is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day spent out in the snow.

The first master bedroom is located on the chalet’s upper floor, positioned at one end of the building with windows on two walls and access to a private balcony. The room has either a king bed or two singles, based on your preference, along with a TV, closet and en suite with a deep bath, rain shower, toilet and washstand.

The second master bedroom is also located on the upper level, at the other end of the building. This room also comes with a king bed which can be configured into two singles if need be. The room also has closest and access to a balcony shared with the bedroom next door. The en suite features a shower, toilet and washstand.

The third bedroom is located upstairs, in between the second master bedroom and the staircase leading downstairs. This room comes with either a king double or two single beds, based on your requirements. SETTING / ATMOSPHERE
Yukihyo is located in a peaceful forest of birch and pine trees, just a five-minute drive from the Niseko Village ski resort. This affords you a relaxing stay surrounded by Japanese nature but still just moments from the slope side action.
LIFTS / TRANSPORT
It’s about a five-minute drive to reach the ski lifts at Niseko Village. Alternatively, it’s about a 10-minute drive to the slopes waiting in Grand Hirafu and Annupuri. It’s recommended you rent a car to make logistics run smooth – just make sure your international licence is in order.
RESTAURANTS / BARS
There are a few good dining options within a moment’s drive from the property, including Ultimo for Italian fare and Milk Kobo for the most famous ice cream in Niseko. You’ll find more options in Niseko Village and Hirafu.

What a lovely location looking out to the forest. Simple design, comfortable but does lack artwork. Recommend a car for easy access to the village and lifts.
