Niseko Shines At 2022 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards In Bangkok

Spectacular art installation Mountain Lights at Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono has been recognised alongside Niseko’s leading new property developments at the 2022 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards.

 

A record number of developments from Niseko entered the Awards this year, heating up the local competition right as international visitors started flocking back to Niseko post-COVID.

Meanwhile, Hanazono Ski Resort’s headline property Park Hyatt Niseko took out the award for Best Integrated Resort Development.

Nearby Hinode Hills at Niseko Village Ski Resort won Best Hotel Condo Development.

Other winners and commended entries included HakuVillas by H2 Group, Andaru Collection by Blue Waves Group, Shiguchi by Kookan, Cassia Hirafu Niseko by Terraform Capital, and Intuition Niseko by Zekkei.

Two of the aforementioned properties claimed Regional Award, beating a high-profile lineup of the best developments across Asia.

HakuVillas by H2 Group won the Best Completed Condo Development (Asia) award, and Andaru Collection by Blue Waves Group clinched both Best Completed Housing/Landed Development (Asia) and Best Housing/Landed Interior Design (Asia) awards.

The Awards in Greater Niseko were presented in an exclusive luncheon on 9 December at The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok. This was held ahead of the 17th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final where the various country winners from the awards series competed for Best in Asia honours.

PropertyGuru said the Asia Property Awards “elevated the Gold Standard of real estate within Japan”.

“The Awards in Greater Niseko showcased outstanding hospitality and residential developments in the premier mountain resort destination to property seekers from Southeast Asia and beyond.”

Hari V. Krishnan, CEO and managing director of PropertyGuru Group congratulated all the Niseko awardees.

“Our Awards in Greater Niseko continue to reach great heights with beautifully designed resorts, hotels, and second homes for wintersports enthusiasts, tourists, investors, and other property seekers interested in Japan’s premier skiing destination.”

The list of Winners and Highly Commended awardees was decided by an independent panel of judges consisting of Bill Barnett, chairperson of the Awards and founder and managing director, C9 Hotelworks; Acme Wu, marketing director, Niseko Tourism; Eddie Guillemette, CEO of Midori no Ki (MnK); Greg Hough, managing director, Niseko Portfolio and Explore Travel Group; Minoru Okubo, representative director, ResortPropertyJapan Co. Ltd; and Shigeru Uehara, director of Niseko Home Design, Ltd.

The entire selection process was made fair, transparent and credible under the supervision of Paul Ashburn, HLB International Real Estate Group.
