On 15 December, a Louis Vuitton’s pop-up store opened at the Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono, which includes an outdoor yurt.
The pop-up store, which is also a sort of exhibit, features a full-line collection of women’s and men’s travel luggage, leather goods, shoes, accessories and fragrances, as well as watches and jewellery. .
It is located in the event spaces of the hotel and includes special decor in the Kabanoki Lounge that resembles the inside of a yurt, which is a portable round tent, traditionally insulated with animal skins and used by the nomadic tribes of inner asia.
As a modern touch, the Louis Vuitton outdoor yurt installation, which is adjacent to the ski lifts, is illuminated at night.
Several of the gondolas also feature wrap-around Louis Vuitton branding.
Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono Director of Sales and Marketing Ronald Nomura said that the pop-up is bringing all kinds of new people to the hotel from a diverse range of backgrounds.
”It has piqued the interest of many skiers.

The Louis Vuitton pop-up came about due to the brand’s existing relationship with a Park Hyatt Niseko sales manager who used to work in Tokyo, during which time she serviced Louis Vuitton as a corporate account.
Louis Vuitton reached out to her in April to see if the Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono would be interested in such a collaboration.
The Louis Vuitton pop-up store will run through 25 February 2024.
It is the first Louis Vuitton pop-up to open at a Japanese resort.
