Kutchan born 15-year-old Olympic medalist, Cocona Hiraki, was crowned Women’s World Champion for the first time on 8 October at the 2023 World Skateboarding Tour Rome Park World Championship.
Topping both the quarter-finals and semi-finals in Rome, Cocona marked an unbeatable 94.54 in the finals, which led to her victory.
At the age of 12, Cocona won a silver medal in the women’s skateboarding park competition at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, becoming one of the youngest Olympic medalists.
