Don’t Miss Out On Niseko Kaributo Shrine’s Summer Festival

Niseko Kaributo Shrine’s summer festival will be held from 9 to 11 September this year.

 

The festival begins on Saturday, 9 September, with an eve celebration starting from 7pm featuring a flute live show dedicated to the shrine’s deity.

The main festival day will take place on Sunday, 10 September, starting from 9am.

Highlights include a Mikoshi parade from 10am, where people carry a portable shrine around the town.

Throughout the main day, there will be activities such as a sumo wrestling contest for children, various of live shows including Ainu music and Japanese drums, and food stalls opening from 3pm.

The last festival day will also feature several live shows, a mochi-catching event, as well as food stalls that will open from 4pm.
