Beef bowl restaurant chain “Sukiya” is opening its first store in the Niseko area this December in Kutchan.
“Sukiya” is a popular Japanese fast-food chain owned by Zensho Holdings and is known for its affordable prices.
The company decided to open in Kutchan, anticipating the area’s development with the extension of the Hokkaido Shinkansen and the highway.
The new “Sukiya” store will be the 3rd in the Shiribeshi sub-prefecture, following the two stores in Otaru City.
The Niseko area, far from the central Hokkaido’s distributing network, only has a few restaurant chains, and the expansion of the “Sukiya” may affect the movement of other stores.
