Being inside Cherrywoods Place feels like visiting your hip neighbourhood cafe. The vibe is young, airy and stylish without being overbearing: super chill and welcoming. Outside Cherrywoods Place has a rectangular, boxy silhouette with a slanted roof that helps to keep the snow off. Inside, that slanted roof creates lovely loft ceilings, with warm wood textures helping make the space feel just as warm and cozy as it is chic. Full-height windows on the street side of Cherrywoods let in buckets of natural light, and create am airy feel that’s echoed by the light, industrial chic of the furniture choices (thin, black matte steel and polished wood all the way!) Bedrooms opt for a muted grey look, with art prints bringing a nice bit of grace and taste to each. This chalet is fun, light and has everything you need.
Cherrywoods Place has two floors: entrance is on the ground floor, along with two bedrooms, a shared bathroom and dedicated dry room. There’s also a neat seating nook on the ground floor landing, with a shelf full of board games that’s guaranteed to fill up your evenings just as much as the flat-screen TV upstairs. From here you can also access the expansive outdoor terrace that’s home to barbecues and lawn furniture in the summer. The upper floor is home to the largest bedroom, as well as the open-plan living space with living room suite, dining table and kitchen with breakfast bar. Bonus points to the little balcony accessible from the dining area, that lets you sit back under the roof and get a little closer to nature. Cherrywoods Place has a full kitchen and laundry, shared bath with additional en suite shower – plenty to keep your group comfortable throughout their stay.

Location
SETTING / ATMOSPHERE
Cherrywood Place is located in the quiet residential streets of Misorano, just up the road from Echoland, surrounded by woodland and quiet chalet neighbours. Echoland is Hakuba’s nightlife district, famous for the wide choice of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops that line its main street. Though Echoland is often buzzing through the night, walk a little away from main street and you’re in tranquil woodland, interspersed with the occasional chalet.
LIFTS / TRANSPORT
From the chalet, Echoland’s main bus stop is a 12-minute walk downhill, with free village shuttles and inter-resort buses both stopping here. A car is recommended if you have a large group and plenty of gear to handle. Driving or shuttling, ski resorts Goryu, Hakuba47 and Happo-One are all less than 10 minutes’ drive, while Iwatake and Tsugaike are about 15 minutes away. With rental and retail available in Echoland, mostly everything you need is nearby.
RESTAURANTS / BARS
While this corner of Misorano is mostly home to villas and residences, just down the road in Echoland your choice of eateries is vast. Try Sounds Like, Penguin or Calico for coffee and brunch, Miyama Genghis Khan or Marukame for bbq, Nonjae, Hie or Cheshire for Japanese izakaya fare. The list is long and varied – just be sure to book! Drive 5 minutes towards the main road to reach supermarkets, pharmacies and hardware stores.

The most magical home in Hakuba! Very modern furnishings and everything you could need. Well-located just a short drive from the slopes.
Thanks Alex for the great hospitality – including booking of the train tickets, taxi, rental car and amazing restaurants where we had many memorable meals. Good advice on the ski lessons as well! We had a happy stay here and will be back one day!

Had a ski holiday and booked with Whitefox Hakuba. 5 stars!! Starting with the accommodation itself- a very new, clean, comfortable place, with great furnishings and amenities. Conveniently located in Echoland and ski slopes are just 10min away by car. Alex, the host, was welcoming, warm and friendly, responsive to our questions and was very helpful; he also recommended great eating places and activities. We couldn’t ask for a better place.
