It’s the incredible powder snow that keeps people from all over the world returning to Rusutsu year on year – so what better name to give to an accommodation option than the Japanese word for just that: Konayuki.
This standalone chalet provides a stunning setting for group holidays of family or friends looking for subtle luxuries and privacy during their stay. With remarkable views over the iconic Mount Isola – as well as both the East and West Rusutsu area ski mountains – Konayuki can’t help but instil an excited sense of appreciation for Hokkaido’s incredible natural landscape. Tall floor to ceiling windows capture and frame the bright white surroundings, bringing the outside in during those energetic mornings and lazy afternoons relaxing together indoors.
The rooms of this nearly-new building are spread generously across three separate floors, and all of the spaces within Konayuki are spaciously proportioned. Wifi is available throughout, as is Sky TV with around 12 English speaking channel options. For those who still have energy for fun even after a fantastic day in the Rusutsu powder snow, Konayuki has a ping pong table in its dry room / games room area. A fully equipped kitchen provides the space to prepare home-cooked meals and snacks, whilst an open fire adds the finishing touch to any peaceful night in watching movies or just spending time together in the stunning lounge area at the heart of the house.
This large chalet comfortably accommodates 8 people across 4 bedrooms. A very large master bedroom is easily the most popular room within the house, however, all of the bedrooms can be made up with a Western king size bed or split into a twin with 2 singles. Three bathrooms and one guest toilet complete the convenient set-up within Konayuki, allowing for both privacy and the pleasure of sharing a holiday home like this in such a special location.
Rusutsu resort is situated just a 90 minute drive from Sapporo’s New Chitose airport – making transfers simple and shorter holidays possible. The ski area is stunning, and the large amount of coverage provided by excellent ski lift infrastructure allows terrain options for all abilities. Konayuki itself is situated just a short walk down the road from the main resort area and lift access via either one of Rusutsu’s large and central hotel developments. Within each, visitors to Rusutsu will find a choice of restaurants and a few small bars. Another wonderful benefit with this property is that it comes with access to an 8-seater minivan – which means that exciting daytrips to places like Niseko or Lake Toya are an easy alternative to a day of skiing.
