Gracefully designed and appointed, Shion is a lovely chalet that is an easy drive to ski resorts, but just far enough to enjoy true peace and seclusion in Niseko’s countryside. To advantage of its bluffside location and views towards both Mt. Annupuri and Mt. Yotei, the designers built Shion’s upstairs living space with views in mind: Generous, vaulted steeple ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows let in plenty of natural light and frame the views on both sides.
Inside, red cedar floors and ceilings bringing plenty of colour and warmth to a classy, modern interior. The upstairs is home to an expansive, open-plan living area with living room, dining room, kitchen and workspace. Curl up on the sofa by the feature fireplace, enjoy the flatscreen TV, or just soak in the views from the outside terrace. The kitchen has everything you need in appliances and utensils, as well as an island counter with breakfast bar. The master bedroom is also upstairs, with its own desk area and en suite bathroom with feature bath.
Downstairs, three more bedrooms house up to ten guests: two in the guest room (with its own en-suite bathroom), up to four in the tatami room, and up to four in the bunk room – with a bathroom and separate toilet to share between them. Last but not least if you’re hitting the ski slopes, the undercover garage has an entrance directly into a dryroom with ski storage racks, as well as a laundry just around the corner.

A spacious japanese-style tatami room complete with fusama paper screen doors on the doors and windows, immerse yourself in local culture! Location
SETTING / ATMOSPHERE
Shion is located in Yotei no Sato, a secluded residential neighbourhood at the Easternmost end of Hirafu. It borders the bluff of the Shiribetsu river, and offers stunning views of Mt. Yotei, all untroubled by crowds.
LIFTS / TRANSPORT
The Hirafu Gondola is just under 3km, or a 5-minute drive without traffic. The village shuttle and local buses stop at the 7-11, which is a 11-minute walk from Shion. Property management will deliver you to and from the property on your arrival and departure.
RESTAURANTS / BARS
There are a few eateries and a convenience store you can walk to. Or, drive either into Hirafu Village (about 5 minutes) or into Kutchan Town (10 minutes) to experience the full range of what Niseko has to offer.

Fab property which is great for families. Hire a car so you have easy access to lifts and the village lined with shops, restaurants and cafes. The views are amazing on a clear day.

Shion is a fantastic chalet nestled in the serene surroundings of East Hirafu. Ideal for accommodating a large family, it can host up to 12 guests! The living room window offers a glimpse of the ski slope view, creating a cozy atmosphere to enjoy by the warm fireplace.

Have you seen the photo’s? The views are just as incredible! Super comfortable property with everything you need and more. I personally love the fireplace as it warms the room and looks great too. Nothing better than coming in after a long day on the slopes and relaxing in comfort.
