Designed by the internationally acclaimed Nakayama Architects, Ori is a modern Japanese building which merges traditional aesthetic concepts with an industrial finishing element. Polished concrete and black leather feature highly, along with beautiful lines tracing the shared living areas and throughout the entirety of this outstanding three-story property, which is serviced by a private elevator.
Internal Japanese gardens and golden teak paneling elevate the boutique nature of Ori from top to bottom. Full glass-walled windows blur the barriers between inside and outside, inviting Niseko’s vistas to play a key role in the design of the building as well as the guests experience within. A chic fireplace softens the living room area, which features a huge sofa area for evenings of relaxed calm. Complete with wireless internet, Apple TV plus Netflix and a stunning Bose sound system, Ori’s Western consideration of appliance standard matches the expectation that its beautiful aesthetic sets.
This property contains three en-suite bedrooms in the Western style, along with one en-suite tatami (traditional Japanese woven straw mat) room. In addition, two separate (smaller) tatami rooms are included, as well as a bunk room. In total, there are twelve beds and three Japanese futons available within Ori – and the configuration of these sleeping arrangements can be discussed on request. Another convenient extra with this building is that a nine-seater 4WD van is included with any stay.
