One of the joys of watching Niseko grow as a destination is seeing the quality of architecture and interior design rise with each new generation of properties. Hiiragi is a stand-out for its simple geometric lines outside, and understated, minimal grace within. Tall windows neatly frame the snowy scenery outside; scenery that is matched wonderfully by the colour scheme inside. Cool grey tones are complemented by black and dark tinted wood, all brought to life by subtle gold highlights. The look is sleek, minimal and effortlessly chic, while still welcoming you to lie back and relax.
Hiiragi is a two storey chalet, with the entrance, laundry, garage and ski storage downstairs. Extra comfort points go to the smooth flow between garage, dry room, ski storage area and chalet entry, letting you load and unload your gear effortlessly each time you go out. Upstairs is home to an open-plan living / dining / kitchen area. This is a spacious room where European appliances and carefully selected furniture and art pieces bring everything together. An excellent highlight is the expansive balcony which sits flush with the building’s rectangular frame – you can step out here to enjoy the snowy scenery on sunny days, out of sight of any roads of neighbors.
Bedrooms are shared out between both floors. A bunk bedroom takes the occupancy up to ten, and with a double garage downstairs you’ve got enough space for everyone. With a fully-outfitted kitchen, laundry and three bathrooms you have plenty of practical amenities to make your stay not only photo-worthy, but also seamless.

The first bedroom is located on the ground floor, and sleeps two guests in one king size bed. This is the master suite and has its own walk-in wardrobe, as well as an en suite bathroom with bathtub, shower, toilet and two washstands.

Location
SETTING / ATMOSPHERE
Hiiragi sits on Route 343, the main road connecting the four Niseko area ski resorts, just 200 metres from the entry to the Annupuri Ski Resort. Annupuri’s main parking lot is a short 3-minute drive, while Niseko Village, Hirafu and Niseko Town are all within 10 minutes’ drive of Hiiragi. The chalet sits away from the road, nestled among birch forests – it’s a perfectly peaceful place to be for those happy to get around by car.
LIFTS / TRANSPORT
Annupuri’s ski lifts are a 3-minute drive, while Niseko Village and Hirafu’s ski slopes are all under 15 minutes away. Property management will pick you up and drop you off on arrival and departure, and also offers a pre-bookable ski lift shuttle each day – so if you are just skiing, you’ll be comfortable in Hiiragi. If you want freedom to get around the greater Niseko area, a car is recommended.
RESTAURANTS / BARS
Nearby Niseko Town is a 7-minute drive away and offers a range of supermarkets, pharmacies and convenience stores, not to mention some excellent restaurants. Here you’ll find soba and sushi from Michelin-recognized establishments, or excellent coffee and deli lunches at the ever-busy White Birch cafe. Dinner at Ponpoko will bring farm-fresh local ingredients to your table, while nearby Kira no Yu onsen hot spring is a local favourite.
