“Kamui” means “divine being” or “god” in the language of Hokkaido’s indigenous people, the Ainu. The Ainu believe divinity is everywhere – in animals, the landscape, mountains and even the snow and water. Surrounded by nature with deep snow everywhere, you’ll certainly feel at one with your soul staying in this peaceful winter paradise.
The surrounding environment was the architect’s overriding inspiration for the design of The Kamui Niseko. Exterior colours mimic the snow and trees ensuring it blends in with its surrounds. Inside wooden floors and wall panels bring that feeling into the apartments, along with furniture and furnishings largely made up of colours found in nature. Floor-to-ceiling windows capture the views of the magnificent Mt Yotei volcano or the smaller Mt Konbudake.
Apartments are fitted with all modern luxuries including ultra-modern furniture and the latest audio visual entertainment systems, while kitchens feature top of the range appliances to make cooking up Japanese feasts a delight (studios have a small kitchenette for basic meals). All bathrooms in the property are luxurious and some feature Japanese-style deep baths. An onsite reception desk with concierge service can help with restaurant bookings or anything else you need help with throughout your holiday.

The Kamui Niseko
Location
Setting / Atmosphere
Annupuri is a quiet village, largely made up of bigger chalets, pensions and a few low-rise hotels. Buses can take you to the other villages, while confident riders can traverse to the other resorts (weather dependent). Rental cars are a good option for those that don’t mind driving in the snow.
Lifts / Transport
The Kamui Niseko is located at the base of the resort of Annupuri. The property is about 10-minutes walk up to the ski lifts, but many would prefer to take the shuttle bus up to the lifts to save their energy for the mountain. By bus it’s just a minute or two until you’ll step out directly onto the slope.
Restaurants / Bars
There are a dozen or so restaurants in the village and surrounds, many of which are in walking distance for anyone of average fitness. One of the most wonderful things about Annupuri is it’s onsen hot spring baths. There are nine onsens within a 2km radius of The Kamui Niseko.

Very nice new accommodation. Chose the 1 Bedroom (Non studio ) and it was very spacious. Full of amenities, and a well equipped kitchen. Nice sofa, and the rooms even have apple tv! . Theres locker space down in the basement.
Regarding shuttle services, I am not too sure as I drive.
Front desk was very helpful, and even helped keep my passport safe when I left it there after checkout.
Supposedly great sushi restaurant on the compound, did not eat there.

I would highly recommend the Kamui for accomodation in Niseko An’nupuri. Our room (102) was spacious and comfortable. My brother was injured and had to spend his time inside staring out at the amazing amount of snow coming down, but he was very comfortable, with a large living area and kitchen.
As someone used to ski-in/ski-out setups it took a while to get used to the system in Niseko. The hotel staff will drop you at the An’nupuri base which is just up the road – it’s walkable but might be a bit much if carrying gear. At night, they will drop you in Hirafu to go to restaurants/bars. Local taxis exist but you might have to wait! There’s also a grocery delivery service which I would recommend so that you can stock your fridge!
I plan on returning to Niseko and would happily stay at the Kamui again!

Beautiful apartment. A bit far from the center of night life (Hirafu) but there are tons of lovely restaurants around Annupuri too. Nice, quiet traditional onsen just round the corner (that the concierge is always happy to drop you off at). We also loved that the Annupuri slopes are quieter to ski at.
