Located in central Echoland, Villa Bavaria brings a touch of European wood log cabin chic to the modern ski chalet. Ski lodge vibes abound outside and in, starting with the dark wood and peaked roof exterior. Inside, hardwood beams and floors are paired nicely with white walls and plenty of natural textures – a feature stone wall, single piece feature wood tables and fluffy rugs bring that lodge feel together. The chalet offers rooms across two floors, but the roof is tall enough for three, with loft ceilings reaching the full height and creating an incredibly airy yet communal central living space. With its unique layout and features you won’t be surprised to hear this is a beloved family holiday home, recently made available to outside guests.
Living is centered around a classic wood fire stove, replete with feature stone wall and brick underfloor, as well as a cozy reclining chair to let you lay back and enjoy. Find the dining, kitchen and living room downstairs, with the bedrooms upstairs. On the upstairs landing, you’ll find a really fun feature for the adventurous at heart – your very own rock climbing / bouldering wall, that reaches a full two storeys to the very top of the lodge. Bouldering is a great way to keep fit and tone your skiing muscles when the weather isn’t great, and doubles as a fun pastime for any kids (or kids at hheart) that still have energy at the end of a long ski day.
Speaking of facilities, you have a full kitchen and laundry, as well as a dedicated gear storage / dry room. Villa Bavaria will gift you good, wholesome country living, close to everything you need in Hakuba.

BEDROOM 1
Located on the upstairs floor, the bedroom is a larger room that houses four guests: two in a king-size bed, and two more in your choice of either another king or two single beds. The room is large enough for its own seating area, and also offers large windows on one side of the room. There is a shared bathroom nearby with a large bathtub and temperature control, a separate shower, some washstands and a toilet.

BEDROOM 2
The second bedroom is also upstairs, and houses two guests in existing bedding, with a possibility to house a third in an additional single bed. Though smaller than the first, the second bedroom also has plenty of storage space, and windows on two sides looking out onto the woodland beyond. There is also a flat-screen TV in this room. The shared bathroom is nearby and has a bath, separate shower, washstand and toilet.

SETTING / ATMOSPHERE
Villa Bavaria sits nestled in the trees of forest-lined upper Echoland. It is a short walk from both central Echoland and the shuttle stops there – not to mention all the bars and restaurants that the area is renowned for. Meanwhile, Villa Bavaria is still in a quiet and secluded part of town with plenty of woodland on either side to separate from the neighbours.
LIFTS / TRANSPORT
Echoland’s main bus stop is a 6-minute walk from Villa Bavaria – with both free village shuttles and inter-resort buses stopping regularly. As property management doesn’t offer an arrival or departure shuttle, cars are highly recommended to get you to and from the slopes. If you drive you can choose where to go based on conditions with Goryu, Hakuba 47, Happo One and Iwatake all less than 10 minutes’ drive away.
RESTAURANTS / BARS
Echoland is famous for its restaurant and bar scene, with plenty on offer from western to Japanese to international cuisine. Sounds Like Cafe is a treat for brunches and great coffee in the mornings, while Van Gogh makes for a great meal and a wonderful night out with regular music events scheduled throughout the season. If you have a car, head for the main road and Hakuba station for supermarkets, pharmacies and convenience stores – all are within a 10-minute drive, with BIG Hakuba being the closest and cheapest.
