Completed in 2022, Credence A raises the bar for self-contained chalet living in Hakuba. Nestled in the quieter upper reaches of Hakuba’s Echoland district, this three-bedroom, two-storey chalet boasts restful views of surrounding forestland, dotted with the occasional neighbouring chalet.
Visually, Credence A is graceful inside and out, with artfully designed interiors creating a series of light yet warm spaces. White walls, black metal highlights and bright wood and tile finishes help create a sense of light, airiness and chic, while thoughtfully placed carpets, art pieces and plants help bring each room to life. This chalet works great for families or small groups, with two en suite bedrooms and one bunk room rounding out the bedding options. Upstairs is home to an expansive kitchen, living and dining area – an inlaid flat-screen TV and recessed fireplace blend seamlessly into the decor to create a feature wall you can enjoy from either the leather sofa or dining table. The kitchen has a breakfast bar and full host of appliances. There’s a dedicated gear storage room with heated boot racks, a washer and dryer downstairs rounding out all you need for self-contained living. Location
SETTING / ATMOSPHERE
Credence A sits in the quiet streets of upper Echoland. This is a quiet, forested neighbourhood with other luxury chalets and pensions visible amongst the trees. Central Echoland, just down the road, is Hakuba’s famous gourmet and nightlife district with plenty of restaurants, cafes and beloved bars to choose from. Echoland is also centrally located in the Hakuba Valley, and is serviced by both village shuttles and inter-resort buses that can get you to any number of resorts.
LIFTS / TRANSPORT
Happo One’s ski lifts are the closest at a 25-minute walk from Credence A, but that won’t be a concern as property management helpfully offers a ski shuttle to get your party to the slopes and back. If driving, Hakuba 47, Goryu and Happo are all within 10 minutes of Credence A, while Happo Bus Terminal and Hakuba Station (the main transport hubs in Hakuba) are a 5-minute drive away. Your hosts also offer a pick up and drop off service on your arrival and departure to Hakuba.
RESTAURANTS / BARS
Echoland is home to some of Hakuba’s most well-established eateries, bars and cafes, so you’ll never be short of entertainment here – just be sure to book in advance! Property Management also offers a grocery delivery service, helpful if you’d like to stay in and take advantage of the full-feature kitchen. With all the driving services on offer you won’t need a car, but should you choose to drive, there’s also free parking available on site.
