The Roka apartments look at home in any of the world’s finest ski resorts – with elegance and grace they occupy an incredible location right on the verge of Sakka ski slopes. You can see the lifts right from your window – with the nearest a mere 70 metre walk away from your front door! Inside the apartments are modern, warm and richly appointed with tan hardwood floors, expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, marble countertops and grey stone tile bathroom finishes. Graceful furniture pieces and carpets complement each space.
Each apartment offers a full-feature kitchen with European appliances, expansive dining suite with elegant hardwood furniture, a grand living suite with sofas you can sink into, and a massive flat-screen TV to enjoy. Location
SETTING / ATMOSPHERE
At the base of the Sakka section of Happo One ski resort, Roka apartments offer true ski-in, ski-out access straight from the ski slopes and to your heated ski locker. The Sakka area sits at the upper end of Wadano, a sleepy yet exclusive forested neighbourhood with plenty of chalets, a few restaurants and several rental stores. Though central Happo Village is about a 20 minute walk downhill, Roka makes a better base for those who want to focus on skiing first and foremost.
LIFTS / TRANSPORT
The lifts are just in front of Roka, a stunning 70 metres away from your doorstep. Roka’s ski locker room and front door opens straight up onto the snow – it couldn’t be easier to get to the slopes. To access the free village shuttle you’ll need to walk about 5 minutes to the nearest stop in Wadano. Property management gets you to and from Roka on arrival and departure but if you see yourself looking to explore more in the Hakuba Valley, a car is recommended – and free parking is available on site.
RESTAURANTS / BARS
The Rabbit Hole is a short walk from Roka, and makes a great option for one night. Property Management also offers free shuttle services to the 5-6 restaurants it operates around the Happo area. Otherwise, you may need to head for central Happo Village to find more options for dinner, shops and a convenience store. Central Happo Village is a 20-minute stroll downhill, so you may need a taxi to get back home. With a car, the nearest supermarket is a 5-minute drive (Coop near Hakuba Station) and the station district is a good place to find less busy, more reasonably priced restaurants.
