YUSENKAKU KONBU ONSEN

The community onsen baths for the outlying rural village of Konbu

This bath is somewhat of a local secret – it’s quite a way from the ski resort so not many tourists make it out here. If you want to get off the beaten track and experience some authentic Japanese rural culture, this is a nice little experience. There are several baths of varying temperatures inside, and a lovely outdoor bath surround by stone. There’s also a private bath available for reservation, and free foot bath outside if you’re just passing by.
