WILD Bills’ parties are renowned for being huge, and last night’s opening party was no exception.
It started early with a three-hour all-you-can-drink nomihodai that saw half the town crowding the bars to quench their thirst.
During this three-hour drinking fest, Three Skins, a rocking three-piece band, whipped the bar into movement. There wasn’t a foot that wasn’t tapping, or a head that wasn’t nodding within earshot. And those even closer were moshing around in the packed area in front of the band.
After 10pm, DJ Chris Holmes took over and the dance party got into full steam. Heaving crowds were dancing on chairs, tables and on the bar itself to the great beats that were being blasted out.
This year there has been a major change in management, and it will be interesting to see how the rest of the season pans out. If the opening party was any indication, it will be another great year at Bills.
