Upper Hirafu’s Aki Niseko Has Broken Ground On Two Onsen Villas

Two units out of Aki Niseko’s 11 plots have broken ground in Upper Hirafu.

Aki Niseko is a collection of onsen-connected villas by H2 Christie’s International Real Estate, a novelty in Upper Hirafu which has seen condominiums dominating its development for the better part of two decades.

H2 Christie’s International Real Estate Sales Director Paul Butkovich said that the buyers, who are asia-based international investors, were primarily concerned with the location.

The development, located 100m from the gondola, will include an exclusive clubhouse with an indoor pool and gym, cafe, yoga room, nail salon and kids club.

There are also three larger available sites above the 11 estates which are available for possible custom mega Aki Villas, depending on investor interest, or they could be developed into condominiums.

“The first two homes set the model for the next sales,” said Butkovich.

The two villas under construction are projected for completion in late 2024.
