Foxwood Higashiyama Homes: Strikingly Modern, Distinctly Japanese, Designed for Families

In early 2018, 22eme partnered with Hokkaido Tracks and Sudo Construction on the family housing estate of Foxwood Homes.

22eme relished the opportunity to design a Foxwood house melding their unique vision, whilst demonstrating the potential to personalize the houses to the taste and imagination of each individual owner. The key design consideration was to realize the bucolic lifestyle set amidst the backdrop of modern living in Hokkaido, and create an all-seasons escape instead of just a winter getaway.

A mere few minutes’ walk from the expansive green fields of Milk Kobo in summer and a minutes’ drive to the ski lifts in winter– it’s perfectly located. But why leave the estate? You can barbecue on the back deck or simply relax, with a garden for the kids to frolic, the opportunity for interesting landscaping, and a cozy interior to which you can retreat. Foxwood affords the ability to enjoy both the outdoor and indoor spaces, in an idyllic and carefree environment.

Hokkaido and the greater Niseko area are immensely captivating; abundant with nature, food, impressive vistas and the freshest air at your doorstep.
