Snowmageddon Cometh

By 30th January 2011June 28th, 2014Niseko Snow Report

AFTER a beautiful few days of clear skies, sunshine and calm winds, Niseko’s weather is back to regular programming; heavy snow.

The snow started falling Friday afternoon, and in the past 48 hours there has been little respite, accumulating at least one metre in the village.

The temperatures are remaining low too, so the snow is top-shelf, grade A japow.

It’s not all celebrations though. Visibility is poor, and wind was slowing down lifts and limiting upper access.

And, before you go rushing out of bounds, check Niseko Avalanche reports. The high snowfalls combined with strong winds can be a dangerous combination.
