SHIROGANE onsen village is home to Shirogane waterfall and canyon as well as to the Blue River with its cobalt colour.
These popular sightseeing spots can be viewed from some of the hot spring baths. The area is not only popular for its hot springs, but also the starting point for climbing the mountains Tokachidake, Bieidake and Biei-Fuji.
Shirogane onsen is located in the highlands, 600m above sea level at the southern foot of Mt Tokachidake and southeast of the town of Biei. It is a 20-minute drive from Biei train station or about 80 minutes from Furano.
