AFTER extensive renovations over the summer period, Rhythm flung open its doors at its new location and put on a great opening party.
This year Rhythm Snowsports has moved into what used to be the Yukara souvenir shop next to Abu-cha 1 at the bottom of Hirafu-zaka, the main street in town. Downstairs there are plenty of ski related clothing and equipment, as well as the small café Gloorious. Upstairs is for the snowboarders, with lots of new gear, as well as some ex-rental equipment.
Dozens of locals were in attendance, but due to the huge size of the new premises the only place that it was crowded was around the makeshift bar that was pouring free wine and beer.
