>> Conditions observed 7 am at Village level:
12-hour snow 20cm+
Temperature -5 °C
Snow depth 165 cm
>> Conditions at 820m (Hirafu midway station):
12-hour snow 30cm+ (estimated)
Temperature -9 °C
Snow depth 355 cm
A heap of snow fell overnight with 15cm reported in Hirafu, a solid 20cm+ out here in Niseko Town where we’re based at the moment, and 20-30cm from the avalanche report at Moiwa.
Hopefully up high there will have been enough for a full reset – all tracks filled in a full fresh tracks for all. Winds are light and basically every lift in all four Niseko resorts are operating. It will be hard to go wrong today wherever you go.
Looking ahead and we might get some weather – looks like a fair bit of snow and possibly some wind. I’m sure there will be options for the next few days.
