Plans have been released for Niseko Kyo – a 6-storey, 18-unit condominium overlooking Hirafu’s sought-after Ace Family Run flanking Upper Hirafu Village.

The boutique project is the first ski-in/ski-out condo with onsen (hot spring) baths in every apartment.

The property is a passion project for the family of Robert Tan – Group CEO of Malaysian-listed property developer IGB.

His daughter, Elizabeth Tan, says the design of the Niseko Kyo was inspired by the nature of Niseko and the surrounding forest.

The Japanese expression “komorebi” describes sunrays filtered through trees, which inspired our design philosophy

“Light and shadow filtered through trees are aptly captured in the interiors, reflecting the therapeutic mood of the natural environment,” Tan said of the property which looks west over the ski run towards a pine forest.

“Every residence at the Niseko Kyo is a hallmark of sophistication with sweeping views of snow-covered hills during winter and equally breath-taking panoramas that change with each season.”

The onsen well has been drilled and excavation works have started on the 1,700sqm site.

The property will offer 2, 3 and 5-bedroom apartments with selected dual-key and triple-key configurations. The exclusive 6 bedroom, dual key, 300sqm Penthouse unit will offer views of Mt Annupuri (ski resort) and Mt Yotei (volcano). All units will come fully furnished with luxury amenities.

Tan says exceptional hospitality will be a key feature of the property, including 24-hour concierge and ski valet service.

The property will also have dedicated owner storage areas, a spa and gym, underground parking and dining
