By 16th May 2020November 28th, 2022Promotion

Rhythm Japan is a Niseko institution; one that’s long been known as the place for picking up the best ski and snowboarding gear in all of Niseko.

It’s also a place to glean invaluable advice from slopeside experts while indulging in some serious retail therapy – they even brew a mean cup of coffee. Here’s what to know about the best rental and retail outlet in town.

Introducing Rhythm Japan

Rhythm Japan first opened its doors back in 2005 and the rest, as they say, is history. With two stores in Niseko, one in Hakuba and a new one opening in up and coming Furano, Rhythm has grown into one of the leading snow sports stores in Japan. The brand specialises in premium sports equipment and faultless customer service.

You’ll find all your favourite ski brands represented in Rhythm’s well-stocked outlets and the staff is always on hand to help, whether you’re a first-time skier or a seasoned expert.

Rhythm stocks a huge range of prestigious brands, both for rental and retail, including Armada, K2, Volkl, Rossignol, Burton, Gnu, Roxy, Capita, Jones, YES! and many, many more.

Ski & Snowboard Rentals

Rhythm’s slogan says it all: Rent Ride Repeat. The company offers a true one-stop solution for all your rental needs while you’re in town. Offering the widest range of ski and snowboard gear in the area, Rhythm has perfected the rental experience. Pre-book online or head straight to store of your choice. Rhythm’s seamless rental process means you can pick up your skis with ease and hit the slopes in no time.

Rhythm offers a premium and standard rental range to cater to different skill levels and budgets. All rentals include unlimited equipment exchanges. This allows you to try out different skis and snowboards or even switch between the two.

Premium Rental Range

Rhythm’s premium range of rental skis and snowboards gets updated every season, so you know you’ll have access to the latest gear around. All skill levels are well-catered to and the fleet also includes female and terrain specific gear.

Standard Rental Range

The standard range skis and snowboards are a more affordable option, perfect for first-time skiers and those looking to stay on Niseko’s groomed trails. If you’ve booked the standard package but want to upgrade to premium, no problem – you only need to pay for the price difference between the packages.

Pick Up, Drop Off & Courier Service

Rhythm has added little conveniences which make renting ski gear in Niseko that much easier. The Niseko store offers a complimentary pick up and drop off service to your accommodation in Hirafu, Hanazono, Niseko Village, Annupuri and Moiwa. This means you don’t need to visit the store in person, unless you want to. If you’re planning to ski in different resorts, Rhythm also offers a handy courier service, allowing your ski gear to be delivered to almost anywhere in Japan. This allows you to keep using the same equipment throughout your trip.

New Flagship Store

If you’re in town, make sure you stop by the epic new Rhythm Base flagship store. Located just 100 metres from the Hirafu Gondola, the store offers a whopping 12,000 square metres of floor space all dedicated to making your slope side dreams come true.

You’ll find all the most prestigious ski brands represented here and if you’re driving, you’ll love the fact that the store is fronted by a whopping 40 parking sports – that’s more than any other retailer in town! Customers can also store their gear in the store’s overnight lockers to save yourself from schlepping your gear to and fro. And good news for the coffee lovers: the new store includes a Rhythm and Beans coffee counter, too.
