This is a message for all mountain climbers regarding the beginning of climbing season in Kutchan-cho from the 9th of June. When the caretaker of the mountain shelters climbed up to do a preliminary inspection last week, he discovered that at least eight snowy gorges still remain, and he recommends that climbers take shoe spikes. Please take care as there are fallen trees etc. Please double-check the mountain shelter information as well.
※Also, because there are no shops at the mountain shelters, please make sure that you take plenty of food and water. Please ensure that you take responsibility for yourself, allow time for preparation and take care of your belongings.
