Ki Niseko is a compact and convenient ski-in/ski-out condo next to the gondola.
Ki Niseko is one of Hirafu’s newest luxury resort hotels, having only opened in December 2014. Located at the base of Grand Hirafu, it offers hotel and condo style accommodations in a premium ski-in/ski-out location. The property offers many guest services, including 24-hour reception, regular shuttle services around the village, and a dedicated ski concierge with waxing and tuning services.
“Ki” means “tree” in Japanese and Ki Niseko is at the forefront of sustainable luxury accommodation and they are committed to keeping Niseko green. Utilising their natural onsen hot springs to heat the hotel in winter, as well as using energy-efficient bulbs throughout the property, reducing waste, recycling and using bio-degradable and non-toxic products where possible are just some of the measures they are using to attain this.
The rooms mix rustic alpine charm with a touch of modern Japanese elegance, and have either resort or Youtei views. All rooms are equipped with free wifi internet and satellite TV with English-language channels, and all the condos are self-contained, including full kitchen and laundry facilities. The property has several dining options, a day spa, and several onsen options such as indoor and outdoor mens and womens baths, plus two private baths available for hire.
Ki Niseko Accommodation
Ki Niseko has a range of room options from hotel rooms up to a 5-bedroom penthouse. The hotel rooms accommodate two adults, plus can also fit a child aged six or under. One-bedroom condos will sleep up to three adults, with the one-bedroom deluxe sleeping up to four adults. Two-bedroom condos will sleep up to five adults and the penthouse will fit up to 10 adults in 4-bedrooms, with a fifth bedroom perfect for up to two children.
One-bedroom condos have one bathroom, two-bedroom condos have an ensuite from the master bedroom plus a full second bathroom, and the penthouse has four ensuite bathrooms – 2 with bathtubs – as well as a jacuzzi on the deck which is just the thing after a long day on the slopes!
All room types, except hotel rooms, have full kitchen and dining facilities including a dishwasher, as well as laundry facilities with washer and dryer. They offer either a resort view or Yotei view, with one-bedroom deluxe condos having a guaranteed Yotei view and the penthouse having both Yotei and resort view.
Ki Niseko Location
Ki Niseko is situated at the foot of Grand Hirafu Resort, offering stunning views of Mt Yotei and back over Hirafu resort. It’s only 100m from the Hirafu high-speed gondola, and from the 2nd floor ski valet you can literally step out the door and onto the slopes. Once you’re done you can leave your skis with the valet for overnight storage. If you don’t want to get around on foot Ki runs regular shuttle buses to take you around the village, or down to Kutchan.
Located within the property is An Dining – Hokkaido-inspired fine and casual dining. There is also An Café Bar, perfect for a coffee or pre-dinner drinks, and the Lobby Lounge. Due to the location near the Gondola, it’s a little further to walk to most of the bars and restaurants however it’s only about a 10 minute walk to the centre of Hirafu, or just take the shuttle.
