Sansui Niseko has turned into a Japanese cultural event hub, hosting daily events, workshops and activities for all Niseko visitors from mid-December through until the end of January.

December events included calligraphy + shamisen performance, gagaku performance, green tea ceremony workshop, shamisen live performance, koto live performance, mizuhiki workshop, origami/daruma workshop, and yukata workshop.

Sansui guests have been mesmerised by these traditional cultural offerings during their time spent away from the ski slopes.

Children especially loved our origami/daruma workshops, especially returning home with the painted daruma and completed origami as souvenirs of their stay at Sansui Niseko.

These daily events will continue until January 29, commencing from 5pm and are open for all visitors and community.

Booking is required for the yukata workshop, but booking not required for everything else – just turn up at 5pm or just before.

Sansui Niseko is located towards the top of Hirafu-Zaka Street, between The Maples and Alpen Hotel.

Follow @sansuiniseko on Instagram or Facebook to stay up to date with upcoming events.
