Horizon Townhouses are located in Lower Hirafu Village and consist of two complexes, each with three townhouses. The complexes each have 3 and 4-bedroom townhouses, but with rooms that can be locked off they can be rented as studio, 1 and 2-bedroom properties. The versatile townhouses are ideal for families and groups ranging from two guests up to nine.
Horizon Townhouses were built in 2006 however the simple, classic interiors do not look dated and furnishings are still of a high, modern standard. All the townhouses have spacious open-plan living areas on the top level that offer stunning views of Mt Yotei, as well as covered balconies.
Lounge areas have LCD TVs connected to satellite, providing English-language channels such as news, movies, documentaries and more, plus a DVD and CD player and wireless internet connection throughout all properties. The townhouses have fully-equipped kitchens, large laundries with washing machine and clothes dryer, ski and snowboard storage and a drying room, as well as their own private entrance. Central heating throughout the houses will keep you warm and cosy, even on the chilliest of Winter nights.
Horizon Townhouses Accommodation
Horizon Townhouses are a group of 3-bedroom and 4-bedroom townhouses. Each house has dual key access, meaning some rooms can be locked off making smaller 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments. 1-bedroom apartments will sleep two guests and 2-bedroom apartments can sleep five guests, while the 3-bedroom townhouses will sleep up to seven guests and the 4-bedroom townhouses can fit up to nine. Due to the many different configurations these townhouses are idea for families and groups of all sizes. Most bedrooms have their own bathrooms.
The townhouses feature fully equipped kitchens with Western appliances, including and oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher.
Horizon Townhouses Location
Horizon Townhouses are located in the lower village in a convenient location that offers a little more peace and quiet than the upper village. The closest ski lifts are probably just a little two far to walk – it’ll probably take you at least 15-20 minutes uphill – however the free village shuttle stops just a couple of minutes away meaning you’ll be able to get up to the lifts in no time at all!
There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the lower village – in fact, popular restaurant Rin is only about 100m away (be sure to make a reservation as they get very busy!) – and it’ll only take you about 10 minutes to walk up to the upper village where there are plenty more options.
The other drawcard is Yukoro Onsen, a natural hot spring bath that is popular with both visitors and locals alike. The steaming hot water is full of minerals which offer not only pure relaxation, but also work wonders on tired, aching legs after a long day ploughing through the powder.
