A NEW winter activity has opened in Hanazono, and in the spirit of public service, we went and investigated it this morning.
The zip-line, or alternatively known as a flying fox to those from down-under, was constructed during the green season and is remaining open for winter. It stretches about 200m down a gentle slope in front of Hanazono 308, with a maximum height of about 15m above the ground.
It’s a very smooth experience; gentle, scenic, and just a little bit of extreme thrown in. Even hitting the soft-foam mattress at the end of the ride was painless.
A single ride costs ¥1000, or alternatively a 30-minute pass is available for ¥1500. Chances are quite high that a single ride will have you wanting more.
It’s a great activity if you feel like a quick break from skiing and snowboarding.
