First glimpse of La Plume – Niseko’s biggest new upcoming hotel

A “sky pool” cantilevered outdoors off the tenth-floor towards Mt Yotei will be a stunning feature of new Higashiyama resort – New World La Plume Niseko Resort.

 

Operated by Rosewood Hotel Group, the central building of the New World-brand resort will feature an 11-storey building and five standalone villas surrounding a heart-shaped outdoor feature space.

Level 10 of the main building will be the dining and activity hub of the resort occupying a double-storey space oriented towards Mt Yotei.  

As well as the 25m Sky Pool, this expansive area will feature a lounge and bar with outdoor terrace, two restaurants, gym, indoor and outdoor onsen (hot spring) baths, and health and beauty spa.

Six penthouse apartments will occupy the top floor above Level 10.

The property is located on a 36-hectare site between Niseko Village Ski Resort and the adjacent Higashiyama residential village. It is several minutes drive to the ski resort, golf course and the new Ritz-Carlton hotel.

There will be 63 apartments in studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom configurations, with six penthouses ranging in size between 192–327sqm. Villas will range in size between 325-498sqm and include outdoor onsen baths.

The development company is La Plume Niseko Resort TMK owned by Virginia Inc. Parent company Sakura Capital International Holdings Limited (HK) has developed a number of resort hotels, condominiums and villas in China.

Resort architect will be Japanese firm Daiken Design, with construction by Iwata Chizaki. Development approval has been received and apartment and villa sales have been launched this month.

The resort is scheduled to open for winter 2023-24.
