An end to the rain?

By 11th November 2010August 27th, 2013

Locals woke to a thin layer of snow covering town for the first time in over a week.

While it may not seem like much, it's (fingers crossed) a sign that the rain which has been plaguing us for the past week is coming to an end, and the weather cycle is returning back to normal.

The precipitation is set to continue, but the temperatures are forecast to drop, which will hopefully result in more snow on the runs for opening day on November 20.

We still have a little over a week until the resort is set to open, and while the mountain isn’t currently looking great, the locals aren’t worried. It’s been like this previous years and the weather has generally delivered in time.

Last year the snow conditions were looking similar at this stage, and then the evening before opening day the heavens opened and all was well.
