It's absolutely throwing down in Niseko at the moment and it looks like that will continue for most of the day – and we're expecting more snow again tomorrow.
Thankfully the wind has backed off a little so much more of the mountain will be open today than yesterday afternoon. Check current lift movements here before you head up. There's loads of snow in the trees – just remember to go round 'em, not thru 'em !
Gates are expected to remain closed today – and with good reason – the Avalanche Risk is Very High to Extreme thanks to the combination of good snowfalls and wind to help load up slopes. Respect the patrollers and don't go ducking ropes. There should be more than enough fresh around today without chasing additional Avvy Risk.
