Niseko Snow Report // January 19 // 2011

By 19th January 2011June 28th, 2014Niseko Snow Report

Niseko this season is nothing if not consistent! Another day, another decent fall with ten old-fashioned inches coming down last night which makes it among the lightest falls we've had so far this year. Wake up, throw open the curtains and there it all is. Again. Another day starts shovelling out cars! Again. And again. And again… Not that I'm complaining when it also brings the amazing faceshots and pow stashes littering the mountain

Back to today – the cloud base is low so visibility will be restricted. Groomers down low should be in great condition for beginners and intermediates to grow some technique and confidence. For those looking to push themselves a bit harder – look to the trees. There's countless tree lines to be had and they'll all be filled with pow this morning.

Don't do anything silly and duck a rope! There's really no need when there's so much good stuff to be had within the Niseko Rules. Today all gates except the peak (G3) are expected to open – but check here for backcountry updates.
