Freshies… again… and bluebird. You gotta love this place!

The last 24 hours has seen some 20cms fall and we’ve had some very cold temps and low wind. The only real issue has been the cloud cover which has varied from which-way-is-up whiteout to grab-your-cameras bluebird. There’s good turns to be had all over, especially on the north & east facing runs. Enjoy.

Today looks to be the same snowfall pattern, then building to a heavier fall tonight. Clouds are changeable so ride in control – especially if you’re not 100% sure of the terrain in front of you.

Avvy conditions and Gate Opening times are posted here. It should be pretty good out there again but it all comes down to visibility. Don’t even think about hiking the peak it if you can’t see! Overnighting is great when you’re prepared, but potentially life-threatening if you just get lost in the minus 23 conditions expected up there tonight. Even experienced people make mistakes when they can’t see where they’re heading.
