Niseko Snow Report // February 16 // 2010

By 16th February 2010June 28th, 2014Niseko Snow Report

If you’re in Niseko today and this morning doesn’t get you outta bed early – you’re either dead or dying. Probably best to do something about that.

Seriously though – you could hardly ask for more. We’ve had better than a foot in the last 24 hours, most of it before the lights were turned off. I’d be hunting areas away from anywhere with night skiing as there will be some sexy deep snow draped over Annupuri’s curves. You won’t have to look far and certainly don’t go ducking any ropes.

Current pattern looks set for a couple of days before another big front sweeps in.late Thursday or so. Expect it to bring some wind, then heavy snow.

Peak gates are slated to open at 9.30. Could be some of the best conditions of the season up there but do careful and check the Avalanche conditions before you head out. essential gear includes Beacon, Probe, Shovel, and BUDDY.

Be safe, have fun!
