Niseko Snow Report // February 24 // 2010

By 24th February 2011June 28th, 2014Niseko Snow Report

Another warm day – warmer even than yesterday! Expecting some rain, turning to snow later tonight. The good news though is that if we just endure today this new system should push in tonight bringing good snow with it. Hopefully…

By tomorrow we're hoping that the mountain will again be the pure paradise of powder perfection. Fingers crossed.

If you're looking for something to do on a pretty average skiing day head over to Niseko Village for today's MTV Japan Jam, where there's a straight jump comp at 3.00 followed by a big ol' concert & party tonight. And it's all being filmed for TV… could be your 15 minutes of fame are waiting for you either on the slopes or in the Hilton Grand Ballroom! Should be a good afternoon / evening, and there's free buses from Hirafu – check details here!

To the backcountry.  Gates 2 & 3 will remain closed today due to poor conditions. If you are heading out, check the latest Avalanche and Backcountry report here beforehand, and always consult the patrol about your proposed route. The mountain needs a reset and let's hope the system moving in today will bring it.
