Niseko Snow Report // March 06 // 2010

By 6th March 2010June 28th, 2014Niseko Snow Report

Just a dusting this morning to barely cover the corduroy.

Spring conditions here should be a lot of fun. We’re expecting temps just below freezing today at village level – around minus 10 up higher. Light flurries of snow may continue over the next couple of days.

A couple of on-snow events this weekend, a slopestyle event today over at Hanazono for all you jibbers, and a Big Air event tomorrow at Hirafu. Should be impressive, with some guys stomping super-sized tricks – and the inevitable  XXL stacks.

The backcountry gates are set to open again today. Vis probably won’t be too great, and at this time of the season there’s lots more to be on the lookout for – cracks can form where yesterday there was nothing. Stay alert. For the latest info check the daily Avalanche Report here.

Enjoy yourselves in these Spring conditions. Cruise the goomers and parks, and maybe add a new trick to your bag or pull out an old fave and polish it up a bit.
