Niseko Snow Report // 14 December, 2009

Looking out the window as I type the flakes are settling on an already decent overnight base. We’ve had just over 10cms at base height, more up top. A good start to what is shaping as a solid week of continuous snow.

The rain of Saturday meant yesterday there was armour-plate ice beneath the fresh – hardly ideal conditions. The groomers should have sorted that for us on the runs but be careful out among the trees.

The rest of the week we’re expecting snow everyday, with tonight looking especially promising. If you haven’t experienced a Niseko Powder nighter this might be a great opportunity, or save yourself for first tracks tomorrow morning. Either way: Enjoy!
