Gravity is nestled right on the edge of Echoland, in the Misorano neighbourhood where residences and pensions hidden away on forested streets. This three-bedroom chalet first catches the eye with its simple geometric design and slanted roof. The interiors are chiefly wood, elegant and minimal, yet rounded out nicely with plush carpet and selected furniture pieces that add richness, warmth and a splash of colour.
Gravity has two bedrooms, a dry room, laundry and shared bathroom downstairs, and a master suite, expansive kitchen, dining and living area upstairs. Nature is never far away in Gravity: you can gaze out on to forest views from the bedrooms, bathrooms and living room, where two sides of the building have been given over to floor-to-ceiling windows. Underfloor hydronic heating means the windows won’t cool you down, and individual control panels in each room offer that extra bit of control. Each bedroom has its own desk and chair, allowing for work or study in private (or just a lovely space to sit quietly and take in the scenery). The master bedroom has its own en suite bathroom with shower, but the highlight is the shared bathroom downstairs, tastefully finished with black stone tile, and a Japanese-style wooden bath to provide that legendary hot bath soaking experience.
Gravity’s living spaces not only look gorgeous and classy, but also pack in everything you need: a full laundry with washer and dryer, full kitchen stocked with European appliances including dishwasher and oven, and a dry room help keep your gear toasty warm for the next day’s skiing.

SETTING / ATMOSPHERE
Gravity is located in the Misorano neighbourhood, a quiet and exclusive part of Echoland that’s home to plenty of gorgeous chalets and pensions surrounded by woods. It has a tranquil atmosphere, while still being a short walk from Echoland’s main street, one of Hakuba’s shopping and entertainment hubs. Misorano is a short drive from Happo (Hakuba’s main ski resort), Hakuba station, and also centrally located in the Hakuba valley.
LIFTS / TRANSPORT
Echoland’s main shuttle stop is a 10-minute walk from Gravity, with both free village shuttles and inter-resort shuttles available. Management offers a complementary shuttle on your arrival to and departure from Hakuba, so you can get by without a car. If you do bring one, Gravity offers a free parking space and Misorano / Echoland is located centrally in the Hakuba Valley, making it a perfect base for exploring the area.
RESTAURANTS / BARS
Echoland is one of Hakuba’s entertainment hubs, with an impressive range of restaurants, bars and cafes available to choose from on and off the main street. Try Sounds Like Cafe for delectable brunches, or Van Gogh bar for low-key dinners and live music events throughout the season. BIG supermarket and convenience stores are all a 6-minute drive away, as is Hakuba’s station district – which never fails for reasonably priced, less busy “off-mountain” dining options if Echoland is too busy.
