It was wall to wall sunshine across the region today (Saturday 08 February) offering up spectacular views of Mt Yotei, the surrounding peaks, Lake Toya, and the Pacific Ocean & Sea of Japan.
The groomed runs were in perfect condition and there were plenty of dry, light powder stashes in the trees.
Mt Yotei was in prime condition with great turns top to bottom, and inside the crater.
It’s cold and clear at the moment, but snow is forecasted to hit the region in the early hours of Sunday morning (09 February) and continue through the day.
Sunday is typically the busiest day in the Niseko Resort Area, so a day trip to Kiroro or Rusutsu is recommended.
